- Camp Crossfire ‘09 is coming up July 27th - 30th. If you are interested in helping out with food, finances or just being involved, please see Cigi. The camp is already full and we are so excited to see what God is going to do this year.
- Next Sunday July 5th we are having “Good Ole Fashion” Potluck. Bring your favorite dish and enjoy a great time of fellowship.
- Venture Expeditions is riding through town on July 2nd. This is a cross country bike riding group that is raising money and awareness for missions. CJC is providing them with hotel accommodations at the Lovington Inn. We need your help feeding them that evening. Please call Heather at 492-9439 for more information.
- Water Baptism is coming up in the month of July. If you are interested in this next step of your walk with Christ, please call the office at 396-4425 or you can see Ty/Heather following any service.
- Softball games this week are Tues. at 8:00 p.m. (Field B) and 9:00 p.m. (Field B). Thursday games are at 8:00 p.m. (Field C) and 9:00 p.m. (Field C). Hope to see you there!!
- Wii Fit is July 9th at 6:30 p.m. If you are new to CJC please join us for desserts and fellowship in the main sanctuary. We would love to get to visit with you and answer any questions you may have. There is a place for everyone at CJC and we will help you find were you fit.
- July 4th celebration is this coming Saturday at 5:30 p.m. We are going to have an incredible evening of fun and fellowship. We are asking that everyone bring their lawn chairs, beach towels and swim suits for kids, one watermelon per family, sodas of your liking, and extra fireworks. CJC will provide fireworks, a fish fry, snow cones, candy, popcorn, pickles, tea, water, a movie on the big screen, a jumper, water slide and much more. It is going to be an unforgettable evening!!!

- Next Sunday June 28th the potluck meal with be Soup and Salad. Join us for a time of fellowship and fun.
- We are having a softball party for all players and families Tuesday (tonight) at 6:30 p.m. We are having a backyard barbecue at the Bean’s home. Please don’t miss a great time to get to know everyone. Thursday night we will resume games with a double header at 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
- Save the date for the Pool Party. Sunday evening July 19th we have rented the Del Norte Pool from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Bring sandwiches, chips, cookies and watermelon. The church will provide the tea and water.
- Saturday July 4th at 5:30 p.m. we are having a huge celebration. We will start the night off with a fish fry. We will have a jumper, water games, a movie on the big screen, snow cones, fireworks and much more. What you need to bring: Lawn chairs, one watermelon per family, swimsuits for kids and beach towel and extra fireworks. We will have a sign up sheet in the back for help with the fish sides (beans, coleslaw, desserts). The church is providing bottled water and tea. If your family prefers sodas, please bring some.
- We want to say Thank You to all our dads. We appreciate all you do for us!
- We are canceling lunch next Sunday because of Father’s Day! Take your dad out to his favorite restaurant for his favorite meal.
- Women with Vision is this Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. Bring an appetite and come expecting a great evening with the girls. Come SEE what God can do through you!
- Men’s softball is this Tuesday at 7:00 p.m and 9:00 p.m. Thursday nights’ game is at 7:00 p.m. Come cheer on the Cowboys. It is great fellowship and loads of fun.
- Camp Crossfire is coming up. We are so excited for what God is going to do this year in the lives of our Youth. If you are interested in being a part of this incredible camp, please see Cigi for more information. Camp dates are July 27th - July 30th.
- Home Groups are canceled for the next couple of weeks due to busy summer schedules.
- Saturday, July 4th we are going to have an Independence Celebration. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m with a Fish Fry. There will be a jumper, water games, Movie on big screen, popcorn, snow cones, fireworks and much more. We are asking that everyone bring your lawn chairs, a watermelon and sodas of your choice. The church will be providing bottled water for everyone.

- Tuesday June 9th the men’s softball team will be playing at 9 p.m. at the Hobbs softball complex. Come cheer on our undefeated team.

- Women with Vision is Wednesday June 17th at 6:30 p.m. Ladies you don’t want to miss this exciting night. Please make every effort to be there. Main sanctuary and food will be provided.
- Parents’ Night Out is this Friday night at Larry and Starla Hodnett’s home 7814 Piedras Dr. We are having a backyard Barbeque so bring your favorite side and/or dessert. It will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. Childcare is provided in the main sanctuary at CJC.
- Next Sunday June 7th we will be having Mexican potluck. So bring your favorite mexican dish and join us for a great meal.
- Men’s Softball will be having a game this Thursday night at 7 p.m. Everyone playing needs to be there by 6:30 p.m. Come support the undefeated Cowboys.
- Next Sunday Ty will not be traveling to Idaho. So he will be continuing the Forgotten Arts series with “The Forgive”. This is an incredible series so make every effort to be there.
- Women with Vision will be Wednesday June 17th at 6:30 p.m. It is going to be an incredible evening with lots of treats. Please mark it on your calendar to be there.
- Home groups are every Sunday evening at 7721 N. Tomlinson. This is the home of Mike and Jacqulyn Miller. It will begin at 6:30 and end at 8 p.m. Childcare is provided. We are still studying Rob Bells’ video series entitled “Nooma”.
- Thank you to everyone who played a part in Saturday nights fundraiser for JCA. We raised over $15,000. with our silent and live auction. Our goal was $10,000. but God used His people to super exceed our expectations. We couldn’t do it without each and every one of you.
